UFC fighter Eddie Alvarez on Pettis, McGregor, and the city of Boston

UFC lightweight fighter Eddie Alvarez joined Bryan Stackpole before his fight with Anthony Pettis as part of the UFC Fight Night in Boston on Sunday. Alvarez talked about being very comfortable in Boston already and discussed how his beginnings in a poor part of Philadelphia propelled him to the successful fighter he is today. Among the other topics he touched on were some poignant thoughts on Conor McGregor’s move into the division and also why he lists the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as his heroes. Before Alvarez left, he predicted a big knockdown punch and submission to be the end of his fight versus Pettis.

Alvarez and Pettis are the co-main event of the UFC Fight Night card with Dominick Cruz and TJ Dillashaw taking the honor of the final fight of the night. The whole card can be seen of FS1 starting with the prelims at 8 p.m. this Sunday.
