James Walker on “expert” prognostication of sports

Author James Walker joined Downtown for Sports Lit 101 on Wednesday afternoon to talk about sports predictions by experts which often go awry. Walker went into some of the analytics for the predictions by the so called experts and said that it would almost be better to just do a random selection because the odds of being correct would be fairly the same. He said that it was more due to the difficulty of predicting baseball than just bad prognostications in general.
